A lens for different photographic needs

Whether you shoot photos or videos, the 18-105mm zoom range (equivalent to 27-157.5mm full-frame format) and the quality of this superb G lens will be more than sufficient for most shooting situations, plus it has the added advantage of a fluid electric zoom.

Maximum opening F4 constant

F4's constant aperture over the entire 18 to 105 mm range means you can change the focal length and re-frame as many times as necessary without having to change the exposure settings. Even with the maximum telescopic zoom, you can capture normally without having to increase ISO sensitivity and potentially increase noise.

Continuously variable zoom speed control

Controlling the zoom speed with the fingers using the zoom lever on the lens tube or the zoom ring allows the zoom to be used smoothly while maintaining a secure and firm grip on the camera.
