The Hoya 72mm ProND16 filter is a solid neutral density filter that allows a 4-stop increase in exposure. This density 1.2 creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or a slower shutter speed than is normally required. By reducing the exposure time or increasing the aperture, you can control the depth of field and transmit the movement more easily.
This filter uses Hoya's ACCU-ND metal coating on both sides of the substrate to create the neutral density effect and ensure color neutrality between the filter grades. It is constructed with high quality transparent optical glass for remarkable image clarity and is located within a durable one-piece aluminum filter ring.
