Built for Sony full-frame E-mount mirrorless cameras, the Sigma 14-24mm f / 2.8 DG DN Art lens offers a versatile range of wide-angle focal lengths with excellent image quality while optimizing size and weight .
An Art series zoom, this lens is also distinguished by its fast constant maximum aperture f / 2.8 to accommodate work in available lighting conditions. With a sophisticated optical design, a series of low dispersion and aspherical elements are used to minimize chromatic and spherical aberrations throughout the zoom range for high sharpness, clarity and color accuracy. A Super Multi-Layer coating combined with a nano-porous coating also helps suppress lens flare and ghosting to a greater degree than conventional anti-reflective coatings. This helps produce color-accurate, contrast-rich images more effectively in a variety of lighting conditions.
Although full-time manual focus is available, this lens is equipped with a stepper motor that enables smooth, high-speed autofocus that is remarkably quiet, whether you're using features like face / eye detection AF or during video recording. Additional functions can be assigned to the built-in AF lock button (AFL) to expand the range of operations available on the lens, while inside, a rounded 11-blade diaphragm enhances image quality by helping to create soft bokeh. In addition, a built-in sunshade serves to protect the front element and prevent stray light from causing flashes.
