An update of a precious zoom, the Nikon F-mount atx-i 11-16mm f / 2.8 CF from Tokina is a versatile ultra wide angle zoom very suitable for landscapes, architecture and interior photography. Characterized by its bright constant maximum aperture f / 2.8, it offers a constant brightness throughout the zoom range and benefits from working in available lighting conditions. The optical design incorporates a series of aspherical and low dispersion elements that suppress a variety of aberrations to improve sharpness and clarity. The individual elements are also coated with multiple layers to resist flashes and phantom images for greater contrast and color accuracy when working in bright or backlit light conditions. Complementing the optics, this lens features a one-touch focus clutch mechanism to quickly switch between AF and MF settings, and an internal focus design is used for responsive focus performance.
This ultra-wide lens designed for Nikon cameras with F-mount APS-C format, this lens provides an equivalent focal length range of 17.6-25.6 mm.
The constant bright maximum aperture f / 2.8 provides constant brightness throughout the zoom range and offers improved control over depth of field.
Two aspherical elements, including a large diameter molded element, help control spherical aberrations and distortions to obtain a sharper and more accurate representation.
Two low dispersion SD elements control color stripes and chromatic aberrations throughout the zoom range for greater clarity and color accuracy.
The multilayer elements suppress the flashes and the ghost images to improve the contrast and the precision of the color when working in conditions of intense illumination.
The autofocus system uses an internal focus design for fast and responsive performance.
The one-touch focus clutch mechanism allows you to quickly switch between autofocus and manual focus settings by pushing or pulling the focus ring. When set to manual, the focus response is especially smooth and benefits from sudden stops at the ends of the focus range.
