Blackmagic Design ATEM Mini Extreme ISO is a mixer for live broadcasts featuring 8 HDMI inputs, an integrated control panel, and advanced functions such as recording broadcast data on USB SSDs. The ISO model allows recording up to nine signals in H.264 format in real time, meaning the program and eight connected sources, creating a DaVinci Resolve project file that provides the possibility to edit the production.

Productions with up to 8 cameras and advanced features

The ATEM Mini models are a great tool that facilitate professional-grade content production with multiple cameras for live streaming on YouTube, as well as making corporate presentations in an innovative way via Skype or Zoom. Simply connect up to 8 cameras to the mixer. The integrated digital visual effects allow for simultaneous use of images, ideal for commentary, and include a multitude of additional tools. The ATEM Mini Extreme model allows for recording created content directly onto USB drives.

Easy and intuitive to use

One of the most important features of the ATEM Mini Extreme is that, in addition to providing professional results, it is very easy and intuitive to use as it is detected by the computer we will use as a webcam. Thus, it will be compatible with the main applications currently used for internet broadcasting such as Facebook Live, Skype, Twitch, Zoom, or YouTube. The controls are especially easy to handle due to their very intuitive design. In minutes, any amateur or professional can fully exploit the potential housed in the Extreme version of the ATEM Mini.

Professional sound and monitoring

Thanks to its two 3.5mm stereo inputs, it is possible to connect lavalier or desktop microphones, as well as music players to create a melody in the intros at the beginning of the content. During an interview, the two additional audio inputs make it possible for both the presenter and the interviewee to have lavalier microphones. The ATEM Mini Extreme version has an audio output to monitor the audio track generated in our recordings.

ATEM Software Control

The ATEM Software Control program provides access to all the mixer's functions. Its interface features an elegant design with a virtual panel and tabs for quickly making adjustments. Although the connection is usually established via the USB port, it is also possible to connect multiple computers through an Ethernet network and run the program on each of them simultaneously. This application offers the opportunity to mix audio with effects, import captures, create macros, and even save the device's configuration in an XML file, in addition to controlling HyperDeck recorders to play clips.

Incredible virtual sets

The new ATEM Mini Extreme model includes four chroma key overlay composers that allow for creating amazing virtual sets with up to four cameras. We will also have eight inputs: four for cameras and another four that can be connected to computers to generate rendered backgrounds. In turn, it is possible to make productions with fixed cameras by loading these backgrounds from the media panel or media players, as well as recording macros to switch between the units and use the correct image, or use a DeckLink Quad HDMI device with virtual set programs.

ISO Models, Recording up to 9 Signals

The ISO nomenclature in the Atem Mini models offers a significant advantage over other models; it allows for the recording of up to 9 signals in H.264 format in real time, meaning the program and the eight connected sources. Additionally, a DaVinci Resolve project file is created, providing the opportunity to edit the production in an easy way, as it offers the ability to simultaneously record the program and the sources connected to the device. The content of the media panel used in the production is also saved along with the recordings in files that include metadata such as timecode and camera number. This provides the possibility to make new color adjustments or add effects and graphics.
