Record up to 4K UHD video at 24 or 30 fps using Sony's XAVC S codec at speeds up to 100 Mb / s or 1080p HD video up to 50 Mb / s. Fast, smart autofocus follows your subjects while keeping them sharp, and the ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T * zoom lens features 20x optical / 30x digital zoom in 4K and up to 250x digital zoom in HD. The FDR-AX43's dual video mode lets you record MP4 movies simultaneously with your XAVC S 4K video, perfect for playing on your phone and charging faster on your network or the web. Dual video mode also enables the use of Highlight Movie Maker, a one-button feature that creates a featured reel of your footage that you can quickly play back at an event. A 4K time-lapse mode can be used to condense your adventures or capture stunning nature or atmospheric sequences.

Monitor your shots or vlogs using the FDR-AX43's tiltable and foldable 3.0 "Clear Photo touchscreen. For large-screen playback, use the HDMI output port to connect a larger screen. You can even 'crop' a selected portion from a 4K Video or picture frame to fill the screen in Full HD quality.For enhanced connectivity, the FDR-AX43 is Wi-Fi enabled, offering one-touch remote control and sharing using your compatible smartphone.

The FDR-AX43 camcorder features a range of automatic image and audio options for easy point-and-shoot operation, as well as improved manual controls that offer more creative freedom for advanced users. An assignable ring can be assigned on the front of the camcorder to control zoom, focus, exposure, iris, shutter speed, exposure, or white balance. A rechargeable lithium-ion battery is included to power the camcorder, along with an AC adapter, a micro HDMI cable, and a micro USB cable.
