PANASONIC HC-V785 Camcorder

By pairing the Panasonic Full HD HC-V785K camcorder with your smartphone, you can record two camera angles simultaneously: the main image from the HC-V785K's sensor in Full HD and a secondary picture-in-picture image from your phone's camera. However, the HC-V785K also functions on its own. It features a 20x optical zoom lens with an equivalent focal length of 29.5 to 612 mm, providing a wide angle when zoomed out and a substantial amount of telephoto when zoomed in, with the capability to record in slow motion in Full HD at up to 240 fps. Through its lens design partnership with Leica, Panasonic incorporates a Leica Dicomar 20x optical zoom lens with four separate optical groups and a maximum aperture of f/. 1.8.

To keep excessive image vibration to a minimum and for more stable handheld shooting, the HC-V785K features Panasonic's HYBRID OIS+, which combines optical and digital image stabilization to provide 5-axis correction. Adjustable settings allow you to find the most appropriate stabilization mode for the types of shooting you are doing. From OFF for tripod work to Normal for regular handheld work, to Strong for moments when things really get unstable.

Dual camera operation
The HC-V785K can connect to your smartphone via Wi-Fi and use it as a secondary camera. With this functionality, you can shoot from distances or alternative angles for a variety of picture-in-picture images.

HDR (High Dynamic Range) movie mode
By combining two images taken with different exposure times, the HDR Movie function suppresses blown-out highlights and blocked shadows to achieve sharper and clearer videos. With HDR, you can maintain gradation in your images in challenging shooting situations, such as when the subject is backlit.

Creative control
The built-in filter effects, which include miniature, 8mm film, silent film, and time-lapse recording, allow you to match your video recordings to the shooting situation.

Full HD video in slow motion
The HC-V785K records Full HD video (1920 x 1080) at 240 fps. For a more dramatic slow-motion effect, the Crystal Engine's intelligent frame creation interpolates frames to achieve an equivalent of 240 fps. You can easily switch to slow motion while recording with a simple touch on the LCD screen.

High-speed precision autofocus
The image sensor has a readout of 60 fps, which allows for fast focus speed, stability, and tracking performance.

Leveled trigger function
Level Shot automatically detects and corrects tilt in images. It can be adjusted to three different levels: Off, Normal, or Strong, depending on the shooting conditions.

5-axis hybrid OIS
Stabilized on five axes (pitch, yaw, and roll axes, in addition to horizontal and vertical directions), the HYBRID OIS suppresses blurring in your videos when you are not using a tripod or another stabilizer.

Dial multi-manual

Wi-Fi Functionality

• The HC-V785K Wi-Fi does more than just allow you to capture video from your phone's camera as a secondary camera angle. You can preview a live image on your mobile device using the Panasonic Image app and change the camera settings. If the camera has internet access, you can even upload copies of web-compatible videos and photos directly to social networking websites. Additionally, there is a Baby Monitor function that allows you to use the camera as an IP surveillance camera, viewing a remote stream over the internet.

• One-touch connection: NFC allows you to instantly connect a smartphone or tablet to the camcorder with a single touch. Even without an NFC phone, QR codes are provided to make Wi-Fi settings.

• Remote shooting/viewing: The Panasonic Image app allows you to use a smartphone or tablet as a real-time remote control to operate the camcorder from a distance. View photos and videos directly from the camcorder on a smartphone or tablet and upload them to a social networking site.

• Live streaming: you can stream live events on USTREAM while they are recorded in Full HD resolution (a wireless access point is required).

• Baby monitor: Check on the baby anytime from anywhere with a smartphone or tablet. The push notification sends an instant alert when the audio sensor detects the baby waking up or crying (requires a wireless access point).

• Home monitoring: when you are away from home, your video camera can record high-quality live video, and you can monitor and talk to your family or pets at home from your smartphone or tablet.

• Automatic transfer (Wireless PC Copy): Images are transferred from the camcorder to the PC through the home's wireless access point.

• Highlight playback and easy sharing: You can enjoy highlight playback on a smartphone or tablet immediately after shooting. Favorite scenes can be shared on social media with a simple drag-and-drop operation.

• Wireless TV streaming: A home access point can be used to wirelessly transfer data to the TV or a tablet in the living room or to other rooms in the house (requires a wireless access point).
