Full Frame CMOS sensor with low-pass filter
Users who choose this spectacular model will enjoy the advantages of using a sensor capable of capturing full-frame images at a resolution of 6048 x 4032, providing the possibility of filming with a shallow depth of field or using anamorphic lenses, utilizing the entire sensor area to achieve a cinematic look. Whether filming in broad daylight or almost in the dark, the dynamic range of 13 stops and the dual native ISO value of 25,600 allow for capturing extraordinary images with very low noise levels in various lighting conditions. Additionally, this model enables shooting at a frequency of up to 36 fps at maximum resolution or 120 fps by reducing the usable sensor area, and in combination with Blackmagic's color science, it offers the same technology as other more expensive cinema cameras.

The sensor of the Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K model offers the possibility to work in a wide range of cinematic formats with different aspect ratios without sacrificing quality. By being able to utilize the full area of the sensor, you get a recorded image that captures the entire frame with a 3:2 aspect ratio, allowing for reframing shots during post-production. Thanks to the considerable size of the sensor, it is possible to work with a 6:5 aspect ratio in anamorphic format without cropping the image, which provides more details in such shots and a resolution that was not possible before. Additionally, it is possible to use the classic dimensions of the Super 35 sensor to create close-ups of shots that are compatible with the material captured with the full sensor and achieve outstanding cinematic content with exceptional quality.

13 stops of dynamic range
The new Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K model features a dynamic range of 13 stops, allowing it to retain more details in the highlights and shadows of an image than common camcorders. This provides the opportunity to set the exposure for an indoor scene, for example, at an acoustic concert, and still perfectly capture the natural light coming through the window. Additionally, it captures more colors than the DCI-P3 space used in films. Furthermore, the DaVinci Resolve Studio program included with the camera offers absolute freedom in terms of creativity, providing controls to adjust the exposure and recover details during the grading stage.

ISO dual native
This camera features a dual native ISO value of up to 25,600 and has been optimized to minimize graininess or noise in images, while preserving the full dynamic range of the sensor. An ISO value of 400 is ideal for scenes shot in studios with artificial lighting, while the secondary value of 3200 is recommended for recording content in conditions where light is... conspicuously absent. The gain is automatically determined when adjusting the ISO value on the camera, making it very easy to capture exceptional images when there is no time to set up lighting.

Recording on external media
The new Blackmagic cinema-grade camera with L-mount allows recording on external drives and SSDs via the USB-C port or directly onto CFexpress cards. The latter are much more durable, reliable, and faster than older storage media, making them ideal for recording 12-bit Blackmagic RAW files in high resolution. This way, it is possible to film for over 60 minutes in 6K resolution with a single 256 GB CFexpress card. These media can be inserted into any computer to immediately edit their content using the included DaVinci Resolve Studio program.
