Leica M10 Monochrom Digital Rangefinder # 20050
With the Leica M10 Monochrom, the difference is in black and white. This specialized rangefinder digital camera has been configured with a unique 40MP full-frame monochrome CMOS sensor, which is used for the sole purpose of recording rich and vivid black and white still photos. Compared to a standard CMOS sensor, this specialized monochrome sensor sees the elimination of the color filter matrix to allow the registration of fair luminance values to achieve greater visual depth and clarity, along with improved sensitivity to ISO 100,000 and levels. reduced noise to adapt to work in difficult lighting. The sensor design also sees the omission of a low-pass optical filter, which helps produce sharper, higher-resolution images.
Sharing design features with other M10 series cameras, the M10 Monochrom features a slim body profile reminiscent of M-film cameras, and a larger optical viewfinder with 0.73x magnification allows for greater composition and precision of focus. The body design also incorporates a dedicated ISO dial for quick adjustment, even when the camera is turned off, and the rear 3.0 "1.04m dot LCD touchscreen features a Gorilla Glass cover to protect against scratches and light impacts It also contributes to durability, the top and bottom plates are constructed of brass and the chassis is constructed of magnesium alloy for a robust physical construction for long-lasting use. In addition, the M10 Monochrom also features an integrated Wi-Fi module. for wireless sharing and remote control of the camera from a linked mobile device through the Leica PHOTOS application.
Monochrom
Distinguishing itself from most, the M10 Monochrom is the third-generation model in the innovative series of black-and-white rangefinder digital cameras. Based on the M10-P, the M10 Monochrom takes the coveted design elements of this camera system and adds a 40MP monochrome sensor to record only black and white photos. Beyond distinctive image features and unique image quality, the M10 Monochrom also features a monochromatic exterior design, with white and gray engravings on the body and black shutter and lens release buttons.
40MP black and white CMOS sensor and Maestro II processor
A redesigned full-frame monochrome 40.89MP CMOS sensor combines with the Maestro II image processor to deliver a wide dynamic range with remarkable tonal representation, as well as improved sensitivity to suit work in a variety of lighting conditions. The sensor design also omits a low-pass optical filter for greater sharpness and resolution. Furthermore, differentiating itself from typical sensor designs, the Monochrom sensor omits a Color Filter Array (CFA), which offers the ability to record only monochrome images using only luminance values for clarity, depth and resolution. By eliminating CFA, this camera also achieves a higher sensitivity range of ISO 160-100000 than M10 color cameras, along with reduced noise to accommodate work in difficult lighting conditions.
Optical viewfinder and rangefinder
The optical viewfinder is a bright line magnification 0.73x large rangefinder with automatic parallax compensation and bright line frame lines, which are configured to match the size of the image sensor at a 6.6 'focus distance. On the front of the camera, you can also use a viewfinder frame selector to manually change the apparent image field to help view the scene at different focal lengths; Options are available in 35mm / 135mm, 28mm / 90mm and 50mm / 75mm focal length pairs.
The rangefinder mechanism displays split or overlapping bright field images in the center of the viewfinder to benefit from precise manual focus control. The effective rangefinder measurement base is 50.6mm (mechanical measurement base 69.31mm x 0.73x viewfinder magnification).
Body design and built-in Wi-Fi
The slim body profile is reminiscent of Leica film cameras for easy handling and handling.
The integrated ISO dial is featured on the top plate to allow simple and direct adjustment of sensitivity values, even when the camera is turned off.
The back of the camera features just three buttons (live view, playback, and menu) for more simplified and intuitive navigation of the camera's control suite.
A programmable Favorites menu can be used, allowing you to define your most used settings and select them for easy access with a single touch.
