Lens Sigma 105mm f / 1.4 DG HSM Art for Sony E

As part of the Art line of Sigma's Global Vision series, this lens is designed for truly remarkable optical performance and is ideal for creative and artistic applications.

First short telephoto lens, this 105mm f/1.4 lens is designed for Sony E-mount frameless full frame cameras. However, it can also be used with APS-C models where it will provide an equivalent focal length of 157.5mm.

The impressively bright maximum aperture of f/1.4 is suitable for working in low light conditions and also provides greater control over the focus position when using shallow depth-of-field techniques.

The optical design includes three low dispersion elements (FLD) and two special low dispersion elements (SLD), and helps reduce color fringes and chromatic aberrations for greater color clarity and accuracy.

An aspherical element is used to help limit distortion and spherical aberrations and also contributes to greater overall sharpness and more accurate representation.

The large 105 mm diameter front contributes to better peripheral illumination to reduce vignetting.

A super multi-layer coating has been applied to the lens elements to minimize lens flare and ghosting, and helps produce images with contrast and neutral color, even under backlit conditions.

The rounded nine-leaf diaphragm contributes to a soft and pleasant bokeh quality.

The integrated HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) performs fast, quiet autofocus, complemented by an optimized AF algorithm to produce smoother focusing performance. The HSM also allows full-time manual focus control by simply turning the focus ring at any time.

The lens is constructed using a thermally stable composite material (TSC), along with traditional metals, for greater accuracy and use in wide temperature variations.

The bayonet mount is constructed of brass to ensure accuracy and durability. In addition, rubber sealing is incorporated into the mounting design to make it dust and splash resistant.

A protective coating has been applied to the front element and is water and oil repellent to aid in cleaning.

Includes a rotating tripod necklace with an Ark-type compatible foot for perfect use on a tripod or monopod. This necklace can also be removed from the lens, and a protective cover takes its place, for more comfortable manual use.

The lens visor is made of carbon fiber-reinforced plastic to make it lightweight and exceptionally durable.
