A new customizable function (the “Custom Mode”) has been developed for the AF 24mm F1.8 FE that gives indications via an LED light and is specifically designed for astronomical photography. This customizable mode assumes that the factory settings for finding the exact infinity focus may vary from camera to camera. This feature is very handy because it allows you to save and use the right infinity focus for this lens / camera combination at just the right time. This customizable function can be activated via the new “Focus Hold” button to move the focus directly to the proper infinity with a single click. If the focus value is not correct, the LED will glow red. By clicking on the button, if it has been saved correctly before, the focus will be set to the default value and the LED light will turn green.
