Sony FE 50mm f / 2.8 Macro Lens

The main standard macro lens is designed for Sony E-mount full-frame mirrorless cameras, and can also be used on APS-C models, where it provides a focal length equivalent to 75mm.

The true macro design offers a magnification ratio of 1:1 in true size along with a minimum focusing distance of 6.3" to work with subjects in the foreground. A focusing distance and magnification scale is also printed on the top of the lens to assist in more technical applications

An extra low lens design is presented in the lens design and helps reduce chromatic aberrations and color fringes to improve clarity and color neutrality.

An aspherical element is incorporated into the lens design to reduce astigmatism, field curvature, coma and other monochromatic aberrations.

A focus range limiter switch allows you to restrict the usable focus range from 6.3-11.8", 11.8" - infinity or full, and a focus hold button is also included to manually stop autofocus at a specific point.

Dust- and moisture-sealed design allows better work in adverse conditions and rubber-coated control rings benefit handling in colder temperatures.

The seven-leaf rounded diaphragm contributes to a pleasant bokeh quality by employing selective approach techniques.
