All Profoto Softboxes have a recessed front that allows you to attach a mask. You just need to attach the Edge Mask to the Softbox with the velcro fasteners and let the completely dark center area create a beautiful contour light around the subject, as well as an intriguing reflection in their eyes. You can also position the Softbox with the Edge Mask behind the subject and you'll see how the light frame illuminates the edges while keeping the background black.
