To utilize the entire color spectrum of current photographic and video cameras, it is necessary to have and use a monitor with the largest possible color space. Otherwise, visual evaluation and processing of the saturated color tones present in our files is not possible. For this reason, the IPS panel of the new Eizo CS2400S ColorEdge monitor covers the large AdobeRGB photographic color space, as well as the CMYK ISO-Coated V2 print color space in more than 99%. This means that the entire color spectrum of current equipment is represented faithfully and without gaps in gradations. A precise simulation of the print result in the softproof view is also guaranteed. In summary, we can say that a good overview of the quality offered by this 24-inch monitor includes perfect colors, absolute homogeneity, and smooth transitions in colors and grayscale: this is crucial for the pristine image of the files. No challenge for the CS2400S thanks to the 16-bit LUT, the enormous color space, and the digital uniformity equalizer.

Every monitor that bears the ColorEdge name comes perfectly calibrated from the factory. To maintain this precision throughout its useful life, the monitor can be hardware-calibrated without losses using the free EIZO ColorNavigator software. So the same photo will remain the same for many years. Each CS2400S model is individually measured and optimally adjusted at the factory. For this, the gamma curves of the red, green, and blue channels are meticulously checked and corrected if necessary. This exclusive factory calibration from EIZO allows the user to use the monitor with the preset color spaces right out of the box. This elaborate factory calibration is also the reason why recalibration with ColorNavigator by the user is so fast, simple, and efficient.

Those who enjoy the tangle of cables, raise your hand... One image signal, USB data transfer, as well as power supply with up to 70 W, all this and more can be done with a single USB-C cable. The CS2400S ColorEdge thus becomes the central hub of the graphic workflow. Peripheral devices such as a mouse, keyboard, or printer can be connected directly to the USB-A ports. Mobile devices like laptops or tablets can even be charged with up to 70 W through the USB-C cable. In this way, a laptop and CS2400S can become a full-fledged desktop workstation in a quick step.

The LUT (Look-Up-Table) of the new 24-inch Eizo monitor calculates internally with an extremely high color depth of 16 bits and the panel then outputs the signals with up to 10 bits. This means that billions of color shades are available to calculate the precise display of the monitor. This effectively prevents display errors caused by the monitor, such as banding or clipping, which cause breaks in tonal values in gradients or color casts in grayscale. Even the nuances and fine structures of the dark or highly saturated areas of the image continue to be displayed in a differentiated and detailed way.
