Calibrite Display Pro HL is the latest addition to a long list of display calibration tools that have become an indispensable part of any media professional's workflow, allowing users to calibrate their monitor's output according to their exact specifications. Now, capable of measuring up to 3000 nits, it is compatible with a wide range of display technologies, such as OLED and Apple XDR, greatly enhancing its accuracy and ease of use.
The ColorChecker Passport Photo 2 by X-Rite, which helps achieve accurate exposure and color in an especially compact package, is a portable and versatile solution that ensures precise representation from the moment of capture. The Passport Photo 2, combining four separate targets in a pocket-sized case, is also characterized by the updated v1.2 camera calibration software to create DNG and ICC camera profiles, as well as a dedicated Adobe Photoshop Lightroom plug-in for creating custom post-production profiles.
This grid of 24 patches, a compact version of the industry-standard ColorChecker Classic target, is used to ensure accurate color reproduction from capture to post-production. It is used alongside calibration software to create custom profiles and allows for comparison of the camera's response to various lighting conditions. The 24 patches represent common colors found in natural objects, including sky blue, skin tones, and green foliage, and each patch has been individually colored to produce a solid, pure, flat, and rich color tone with natural reflectivity.
In addition to the Color Calibration v1.2 software, this lens is also compatible with Hasselblad Phocus, Black Magic DaVinci Resolve, and 3D LUT Creator software.
One of the distinctive features of the Passport Photo 2 is, of course, its passport-style pocket case. Compared to other large-sized lenses, which tend to be fragile or susceptible to damage, the compact form factor of the Passport, along with the hard plastic travel-sized case, makes it easy to carry at all times.
