Samyang 24mm T1.5 VDSLR ED AS IF UMC II is carefully designed for professional film and video work, so the focus gear ring is installed for the focus tracking system. You can change the aperture silently and smoothly with the aperture gear ring decoupled. The T-number that guides the actual amount of light transmission and the distance scales are marked on both sides of the lens for very accurate shooting. The lens operates on a manual aperture system with a low T-number that allows natural shooting in various light exposure circumstances.
Optical characteristics
This lens features 13 lenses in 12 groups, including 4 extra low dispersion (ED) lenses and 2 glass aspherical (ASP) lenses. The 24mm ED T1.5 II lenses effectively control light scattering to avoid flare and ghosting. ASP lenses minimize color aberration for exceptional image quality and high contrast for the center and corner of the image even when the aperture is fully open. Samyang Optics' Ultra Multi Coating (UMC) technology optimizes light penetration to also minimize flare and ghosting. Samyang 24mm T1.5 II is known for its beautiful, smooth bokeh.
