The Canon RF 50mm f/1.4 L VCM lens, a versatile prime lens designed for photographic and video applications, is a fast normal-length lens designed for full-frame RF mount camera systems. With its bright maximum aperture of f/1.4 and 11-blade diaphragm, working in low light conditions is not an issue, nor is producing a dreamy complementary bokeh around subjects. This hybrid lens design incorporates a rear focus system with a video-compatible voice coil motor (VCM) with a Nano USM (ultrasonic motor) for precise autofocus and nearly silent lens operation. Its dedicated manual iris ring and AF/MF switch offer users greater focus control and allow for quick setting adjustments. Belonging to the L-series, this prime lens promises excellent durability and features a weather-resistant design that protects against dust and moisture.

Optical Design
One ultra-low dispersion element and two aspherical elements help produce excellent image quality while minimizing chromatic aberrations.
To significantly prevent ghosting and flare, Canon has applied ASC (Air Sphere Coating), SSC (Super Spectra Coating), and fluorine coatings to this lens.
