Lens Sigma 14 mm f / 1.8 DG HSM Art for Sony E

As part of the Art line of Sigma's Global Vision series, this lens is designed for truly remarkable optical performance and is ideal for creative and artistic applications.

The Prime wide-angle lens is designed for Sony frameless, unmounted Full-frame cameras, however, it can also be used with APS-C models where it will provide an equivalent 21mm focal length.

The maximum bright opening f / 1.8 is suitable for working in low and difficult lighting conditions.

The optical design includes three Low Dispersion F (FLD) elements and four Special Low Dispersion (SLD) elements, and helps reduce color fringes and chromatic aberrations for greater color clarity and accuracy.

Four aspherical elements, including a large 80mm diameter precision cast glass aspherical element, help minimize distortion and spherical aberrations to improve sharpness.

A super multi-layer coating has been applied to the lens elements to minimize lens flare and ghosting, and helps produce images with contrast and neutral color, even under backlit conditions.

The integrated HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) performs fast, quiet autofocus, complemented by an optimized AF algorithm to produce smoother focusing performance. The HSM also allows full-time manual focus control by simply turning the focus ring at any time.

The lens is constructed using a thermally stable composite material (TSC), along with traditional metals, for greater accuracy and use in wide temperature variations.

The bayonet mount is constructed of brass to ensure accuracy and durability. In addition, rubber sealing is incorporated into the mounting design to make it dust and splash resistant.
