An effective shot of a popular focal length, Samyan's Sony E-mount AF 35mm f / 1.8 FE is a wide-angle prime that combines a lightweight, portable design with a bright f / 1.8 maximum aperture. The optical design incorporates two extra-low dispersion elements and a pair of aspherical elements, which help suppress spherical and chromatic aberrations to improve sharpness, color accuracy, and clarity. Ultra Multi-Coating has also been applied to reduce flare and ghosting for higher contrast when working in bright lighting conditions. The lens's linear STM autofocus motor works in conjunction with Sony cameras' AF systems for fast, quiet, and precise focusing performance, and manual focus override is also available for more refined control. Additionally, a custom switch allows intuitive adjustments to a variety of camera and exposure settings by turning the lens focus ring.
Prime Wide Angle Compact is designed for full-frame Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras, however it can also be used with APS-C models where it provides a 52.5mm equivalent focal length.
