0ptimized for foreground shots, the Nikon F-mount 150 mm f/2.8 macro 1:1 from IRIX is a medium telephoto device with a maximum magnification of 1:1 real size and a minimum focus distance of 1.1 ' for photography AR close subjects. A bright maximum aperture of f/2.8 allows to work in a variety of lighting conditions and also offers greater control over depth of field to insulate matter. The 12-element optical design, nine groups, has a Neutrino coating, which helps suppress the lens reflex and phantom effect to achieve greater contrast and color accuracy when working in intense lighting conditions.
As a complement to optical assets is a robust physical construction, called Dragonfly, which incorporates an extensive seal against the climate to protect against dust and moisture. This manual focusing lens also features imprinted focus and depth distance scales to benefit from a quick and accurate approach, and a rounded 11-blade diaphragm contributes to a smooth bokeh quality. In addition, the included Tripod collar has an ark-compatible foot for perfect compatibility with a variety of tripod heads.
