Description

Versatile, bright and wide, the Canon EF mount Zeiss Milvus 18 mm f / 2.8 ZEuses a Distagon optical concept, with a pair of aspherical elements and four partial anomalous dispersion elements, to control distortion, spherical and chromatic aberrations, and mixing colors to produce crisp, clear, and neutral color images with a wide perspective. A floating element system is also used for consistent performance across the entire aperture range, and an improved Zeiss T* anti-reflective coating has been applied to reduce reflections and ghost images to work in difficult lighting conditions

This 18mm f/2.8 is designed for Canon EF full frame format mounting on digital reflexes, and can also be used with the APS-C models, where it will offer a focal length equivalent to 28.8mm

Distagon Optical Design incorporates two aspherical elements and four partial anomalous dispersion elements to greatly control spherical and chromatic distortions and aberrations, both to improve sharpness, clarity and color fidelity.

Floating system elements maintain consistent performance when working with both close-ups and distant objects.

* zeiss T anti-reflective coating controls enhanced ghost effects and high-contrast flare, neutral color images.

wide-angle perspective pairs with a minimum focusing distance of 9.8" for exaggerating objects in the foreground and creating a broad sense of space.

manual focus design benefited from laser engraving of focus and depth of field scales, along with an IR point position and hard stops, both in infinite minimum focus positions and more.

weather-resistant construction includes internal seals to protect against dust and moisture, as well as a blue seal ring on the lens mount to protect the camera lens interface.

All-metal lens tube has a matte, anodized surface along with a rubber focus ring for durability and better tactile control.
