Perfect on location or in the studio, umbrellas provide a soft light, ideal for portraits or special effects. The new Varos Pro series is 300% stronger than previous versions and features an aluminum alloy body with a metal shoe, 3/8" and 1/4" female threaded insert, 3/8" and 1/4" male crews included.

The teardrop-shaped umbrella holder accepts umbrellas with 7-10 mm shafts, and the 8-degree tilted umbrella holder allows more light to hit the center of the umbrella. The patented umbrella clamp has been redesigned to offer 300% more locking force while keeping umbrella shafts more secure and damage-free.

The redesigned Phottix Varos Pro BG patented locking mechanism maintains the security of the lower 3/8" and 1/4" female threaded insert with 300% more locking force. The patented 180-degree tilt mechanism supports up to 66 lb (30 kg). The new locking features keep the lower handles secure until the locking button is released. A hanging hole and clip are included for use with a counterweight or other.
