The 18-300mm F3.5-6.3 covers a wide zoom range of approximately 27mm to 450mm (full-frame equivalent focal length). It is the world's first APS-C mirrorless camera zoom lens with a 16.6x zoom ratio, and offers all the benefits of a versatile zoom lens giving the user numerous photographic possibilities. Its AF drive system uses TAMRON's VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) linear motor focusing mechanism for superior noise reduction and agile performance; the lens includes special elements to deliver high resolution performance and provide high image quality that ranks it among the best off-road zoom lenses.

With a MOD (Minimum Focus Distance) of 0.15m at its widest end and a maximum magnification ratio of 1: 2, this lens works amazingly well when shooting close-up subjects. It is equipped with TAMRON's patented VC (Vibration Compensation) mechanism that enables stable photographs even at extreme focal lengths. And it features a 67mm unified filter size, just like other TAMRON lenses for mirrorless cameras.

The new zoom is protected by its moisture-resistant construction and a fluorine coating designed for outdoor shots in harsh weather conditions. Its 67mm filter size is identical to TAMRON's standard fast aperture 17-70mm F / 2.8 Di III-A VC RXD zoom lens (Model B061) for Sony E APS-C mount mirrorless cameras, as well as nearly All TAMRON lenses in the mirrorless camera series, perfectly matching APS-C cameras. Compatible with many of the features that Sony incorporates into its cameras, including Fast Hybrid AF and Eye AF, the lens is packed with features for a comfortable shooting experience.
