Ideal for a wide range of photography and video applications, including landscapes, portraits, street photography, architecture, and events, the Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 DC DN Contemporary lens is a small, lightweight, and bright standard zoom for crop sensor mirrorless cameras. Offered here with a Sony E mount, this lens provides a versatile full-frame equivalent zoom range of 27-75mm and a constant wide aperture of f/2.8 throughout the zoom range. The lens design includes three high-precision molded glass aspherical elements along with a special low dispersion element. Together they minimize the total number of elements for excellent optical quality without excessive weight. Autofocus is exceptionally fast and quiet thanks to the lens's stepper motor, which can be particularly useful when recording videos or fast-moving subjects like children and animals. A definitive workhorse, the lens features a minimum focus distance of just 4.8", allowing its use for macro-style close-up photography.

The standard zoom lens is designed for Fuji cameras with an APS-C format X mount and provides an equivalent focal length range of 27-75mm.
