LAOWA 15MM F4.5 ZERO-D SHIFT FOR NIKON Z
The Laowa 15mm f/4.5 Zero-D Shift is currently the world's widest shift lens for full-frame and medium format cameras. It comes with a 5-blade aperture (in blue ring) and a 14-blade aperture (in red ring). The amount of shift is ±11mm for full-frame cameras and ±8mm for medium format cameras. The lens is perfect for architectural and interior photography. Tall buildings can be captured in a corrected perspective easily.
The image quality is guaranteed with high image sharpness and almost no distortion (Zero-D). The 15mm f/4.5 Zero-D Shift enriches the diversity of Laowa's extensive wide-angle lens collection by giving photographers more control over the perspective of their images.
The Laowa 15mm f/4.5R Zero-D Shift is made with a 14-blade aperture, producing 14-point sun stars. Compared to the previous version with a 5-blade aperture, the sunburst effect with fourteen rays is softer and more subtle. By using lenses with different blades, you can create the desired starburst effect in particular scenes. It is essential for architectural photography where there are often strong light sources and reflections on windows.
The new lens aperture also offers different forms of bokeh and flares in photographs. The 15mm f/4.5R creates round bokeh in blurred backgrounds. It is softer and therefore more appealing in city night scenes.
The angle of view for the Laowa 15mm f/4.5 and f/4.5R Zero-D Shift is 110° with a massive image circle of up to ⌀65mm. The ultra-wide-angle perspective offers photographers great flexibility to frame the subject and background. It is perfect for capturing super-tall skyscrapers, magnificent architecture, and interior works.
The maximum shift amount possible with the lens is ±11mm for full-frame cameras and ±8mm for medium format cameras (e.g., Fujifilm GFX / Hasselblad X1D). The shift capability allows photographers to capture straight architecture and interiors. By shifting the lens, perspective distortion can be fixed, straightening lines that appear to converge in the distance. It is incomparable to post-editing or photo cropping, as the twisted images are corrected by the lens, preserving a large area in the image.
With a large image circle of ⌀65mm, the lens works with full-frame format and covers medium format sensors. It is the world's widest lens for medium format without vignetting. The entire Laowa shift lens is now available for the Fujifilm GFX mount.
Composed of 17 elements in 11 groups with 2 pieces of aspherical elements. It suppresses distortion to an almost zero level from corner to corner. It's a game changer for architecture and interior photography, as straight and sharp edges can be captured easily.
The 15mm f/4.5 Zero-D Shift is an ultra-wide-angle shift lens with the closest focusing distance of 20cm. Macro photos can be created easily. The functionality of the lens is diverse. The wide-angle macro image can be captured easily with this lens.
The lens is designed with a rotation function in the barrel, allowing photographers to change the direction of the shift conveniently by pressing the silver unlock button. The lens barrel can rotate 360° and clicks every 15°. It is very user-friendly for composing landscape and portrait photographs.
