Compact, lightweight, and with a close focus, the Canon RF 28mm f/2.8 STM is an exceptionally light and affordable pancake lens for full-frame cameras. This classic wide-angle lens is excellent for travel, street photography, and video, and is a great starting point for full-frame RF mount cameras. An ideal lens for everyday photography, this 28mm f/2.8 is characterized by its bright design for available light photography and adequate depth of field control.

The lightweight and affordable wide-angle lens is designed for use with Canon full-frame mirrorless digital cameras with an RF mount.
28mm daily coverage for photos and videos with full-frame cameras with an equivalent approximate coverage of 45mm when used on cameras with APS-C sized image sensors.
The bright maximum aperture of f/2.8 suits available lighting conditions for work, helps control the depth of field, and contributes to the sleek form factor.
Three aspherical elements help control distortion and promote a high degree of sharpness. The Super Spectra coating minimizes flare and ghosting to improve contrast and color fidelity when working in strong lighting conditions.
A gear-type STM motor provides fast, quiet, smooth, and accurate autofocus performance that is ideal for video recording and stills shooting.
The minimum focusing distance of 9.1", along with a maximum magnification of 0.17x, makes this a unique option for close-up photography while maintaining great depth of field.
The configurable control ring can be used to adjust a variety of exposure settings, including aperture, ISO, and exposure compensation.
The seven-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality.
