EF-S 55-250 mm f / 4-5,6 IS STM ist ein Zoom, der 88-400 mm für CanonAPS-C DSLRs entspricht. Die lange Reichweite dieses Objektivs wird durch die Aufnahme eines Ultra Low Dispersion Elements verstärkt, das dazu beiträgt, Farbsäume und chromatische Aberrationen für mehr Klarheit und Farbgenauigkeit im gesamten Zoombereich stark zu reduzieren

Sowohl für Foto- als auch für Videoanwendungen wird ein inkrementeller STM-Vorschub-STM-Motor verwendet, um eine schnelle, nahezu geräuschlose Autofokusleistung zusammen mit einer manuellen Vollzeit-Fokussierung zu erreichen, und ein Vierpunkt-Bildstabilisierungssystem wird ebenfalls eingeführt, um das Verwackeln der Kamera bei schärferen manuellen Aufnahmen zu minimieren.

Der Telezoom ist für Canon EF-S DSLRs im APS-C-Format konzipiert und bietet einen entsprechenden Brennweitenbereich von 88-400 mm.

Ein Ultra-Low Dispersion-Glaselement reduziert Farbsäume und chromatische Aberrationen für mehr Klarheit und Farbtreue erheblich.

Ein optischer Bildstabilisator hilft, das Auftreten von Verwacklungen um bis zu 3,5 Blendenstufen zu minimieren, um ein besseres Arbeiten bei schlechten Lichtverhältnissen und längeren Verschlusszeiten zu ermöglichen.

Verbesserte Glasbeschichtungen minimieren Blendung und Geister, um naturgetreue Farben mit gleichbleibendem Kontrast zu erzeugen.

Eine STM-Takt-Autofokus-Engine liefert einen sanften, fast geräuschlosen Autofokus, ergänzt durch ein Rückfokussystem, fortschrittliche AF-Algorithmen und eine Hochgeschwindigkeits-CPU für eine schnelle AF-Leistung; außerdem ist eine manuelle Fokussierung in Vollzeit möglich.

Es el único teleobjetivo que he utilizado. Bueno para iniciarse, para acercarse un poco más a animales o si algunos motivos se te quedan alejados con otros objetivos de menos distancia focal, o se asustan como aves o insectos, lo recomiendo para iniciarse y comenzar a aprender a manejar otras distancias más largas. Se agradece mucho el estabilizador, pero si te apoyas con un monopié, trípode o algún otro complemento, mejor todavía. A veces tiene alguna pequeña aberración o halos en las distancias extremas, lo normal y nada que no se pueda corregir en el revelado digital. Sin duda estoy muy contenta con él y con sus resultados.
