B+W 010 UV filters offer maximum protection for all lenses. A UV filter can be permanently applied to the lens to protect it against dirt and impacts. B+W 010 UV filters also block unwanted UV light and prevent a bluish or blurry haze in photos. This haze is usually more common in the pure air of the sea or high in the mountains. The glass used in a B+W 010 UV filter is guaranteed to be of very high and pure quality, comparable to the glass of a professional brand lens.

B+W F-Pro Filter Mount, a high-quality standard holder
The F-Pro filter mount is the standard filter holder for most B+W filters and is found with professional line filters. The F-Pro mount can be used on most wide-angle lenses up to 24 mm in full-frame format without causing vignetting (black edges/corners) in the photo. The F-pro filter holder is made of brass and has a matte black finish that prevents reflections. Since an F-pro mount has a thread on the top of the filter, the standard lens cap can be used. It also allows for filter stacking. However, stacking filters may cause vignetting.
