The UV UX II filter with water-repellent coating is a redesign of the HMC UV(C) filter, now integrated into the new standard class UX II series along with the UX II CIR-PL filter. The UV UX II filter is a completely new concept design product aimed at entry-level users, providing high-quality standards with basic and contemporary features.
"UX" in the series name stands for "User eXperience," indicating all the experiences users will gain from using these filters and everything that comes with it. By naming this series UX, we intend to offer users better individual experiences through all photography-related activities.
Although not visible to the naked eye, UV rays can affect images when taking photographs in places like the coast or mountainous environments, resulting in blurred contours or discolored and whitish images.
UV filters can suppress the UV spectrum contained in daylight that primarily causes poor effects in images. This filter can be used with both film and digital cameras, ensuring more vivid images. Additionally, by keeping it constantly attached, this filter serves as daily protection for lenses.
The anti-reflective coating prevents unwanted reflections and increases light transmission.
A water-repellent coating has been added to the anti-reflective coating. This coating repels water droplets and makes it easier to clean the filter's surface from dirt or fingerprints.
The slim frame ensures there is no vignetting even for wide-angle lenses.
