All Profoto Deep Umbrellas have a deep parabolic shape compared to a regular umbrella. The deeper the shape, the more control you have over the light spread. It also allows you to focus and shape the light by simply sliding the umbrella shaft forward or backward on its mount. The Deep Silver Umbrella creates a crisp and direct light with more contrast, as well as an intense light output similar to that obtained with a rigid reflector.
