TheDJI RS 3 ComboIt includes the redesigned RS 3 gimbal stabilizer, a gimbal that is even lighter and more elegant than the Ronin RSC 2, weighing only 2.8 lb and with a payload capacity of up to 4.5kg. This small gimbal is sturdy enough to hold and stabilize a Sony a7S III or Canon R5 with a 24-70 mm zoom lens attached. With a larger full-color OLED screen, a new fine-tuning knob, and increased stability, the RS 3 can become an essential part of your compact camera kit. The Combo kit includes additional essentials such as an upgraded Focus motor, a motor rod mount kit with a gear strip, a briefcase handle, two multi-camera control cables, and a lens fastening strap.

Quick release plates

With dual-layer quick-release plates, mounting a camera on the RS 3 is quick and convenient. There is no need to rebalance the gimbal after changing a battery or memory card.

Automated axle locks

When the gimbal is turned off, you can hold down the power button and the three axes will unlock while the gimbal automatically expands, allowing you to start working in just two seconds. Press the power button once and the axes will automatically lock and enter sleep mode, making movement or storage significantly more efficient.

Wireless shutter control

By implementing dual-mode Bluetooth, the RS 3 supports wireless shutter control, saving time and effort with each use. After the initial Bluetooth pairing, you can control video and photo capture simply by pressing the record button on the stabilizer. Previously paired cameras can automatically reconnect after the first use, eliminating the need for a camera control cable.

Integrated Controls

• With a newly added fine adjustment knob on the tilt axis, the camera can slide forward or backward with millimeter-grade precision adjustments to achieve precise balance more easily when changing the lens.

• By simply sliding the new gimbal mode switch, you can toggle between pan follow, pan and tilt follow, and FPV modes. The FPV mode selection can also be customized for 3D Roll 360, Portrait, or Custom, allowing you to adjust your setup and get started as quickly as possible.

•         Turning the front dial allows you to control the zoom or focus. It can also be customized to control the shutter, aperture, ISO, or the camera gimbal movements, making it exceptionally convenient for one-handed operation.

Third-generation RS stabilization algorithm

With the power of a next-generation stabilization algorithm, the RS 3 provides 20% improved stability compared to the RSC 2, allowing for effortless management of low-angle shots, running scenarios, or switching between high and low positions.

Get super smooth results

When the SuperSmooth mode is enabled, the RS 3 increases the motor torque to further enhance stabilization, providing stable images even in fast-moving scenarios or with focal lenses equivalent to 100 mm.

1.8" OLED touchscreen

Compared to the black and white screen of the RSC 2, the RS 3 is equipped with a full-color 1.8" OLED touchscreen with a display that is 80% larger. It is also compatible with most Ronin app settings, providing intuitive and precise control along with the redesigned user interface.

Monitoring on a smartphone

The RS 3 is compatible with the Ronin image transmitter (formerly known as the Ronin RavenEye image transmitter) to stream live 1080p30 HD broadcasts directly to a mobile device. The maximum transmission distance is 656 feet and the end-to-end transmission latency is as low as 60 ms. A smartphone can also be connected to the NATO port on the RS 3 with the phone holder for wireless monitoring.

Integrated Monitoring and Control

Remotely adjust the camera's exposure directly in the Ronin app, or control the gimbal with the virtual joystick for an integrated control and monitoring experience. With the Ronin Image Transmitter, a smartphone can be used as a motion controller to remotely control the RS 3 gimbal for more flexible and dynamic camera movements.

Improved battery and fast charging

The new RS 3 battery grip features a cartridge design, making it easy to swap batteries and it is smaller for storage compared to the RSC 2. It can even be charged separately from the gimbal. The new battery grip provides an extended runtime of up to 12 hours, enough for continuous shooting throughout the day. It supports 18W PD fast charging with a charging time of just 2.5 hours. It can even be used while charging to keep the RS 3 powered almost indefinitely.

Smart functions

The camera retains all the intelligent motion features, such as Dolly Zoom, Motionlapse, Track, Time Tunnel, and Panorama.

New suitcase handle

The redesigned briefcase handle is foldable for convenient storage and comes with a new ergonomic handle to make it easier and quicker to install and switch to Briefcase mode. The integrated cold shoe mount and 1/4"-20 mounting holes can be connected to external monitors to assist with shooting, making low-angle camera movements more intuitive.

Completely new focus motor

The DJI The next-generation RS Focus Motor (2022) provides a torque three times stronger (up to 1 N·m) and reduces noise by 50%. This offers a smoother focusing experience and minimizes the impact on audio recording. It also features a quick-release structure, allowing it to be easily assembled without tools for faster use.
