ZEISS Batis 135mm f / 2.8 Lens for Sony E

Mixing advanced optics with contemporary performance, the ZEISS 135mm f / 2.8 Batis is a medium-length telephoto device designed for mirrorless cameras with a full-frame Sony E mount. Characterized as an apochromat, Sonnar's optical design, along with the use of eight anomalous partial dispersion elements, helps to effectively eliminate chromatic aberrations and colored edges to improve clarity and reproduction. A floating element system is also used, for consistent performance over the entire focus range, for uniform clarity and illumination. An improved ZEISS T * antireflective coating has also been applied to significantly reduce the effect of phantom and lens flare to improve contrast and color fidelity when working in difficult lighting conditions.
The Batis series lenses are distinguished by their innovative use of an OLED screen on the lens barrel, which highlights the focus distance and depth of field to quickly recognize their focusing parameters. As an autofocus lens, linear motors are used to deliver fast, quiet and smooth focusing performance to suit both still images and video applications. In addition, this lens incorporates optical image stabilization to minimize the appearance of camera shake when working with slower shutter speeds and a sealed construction against dust and weather lends itself to shoot in difficult environments.
Short telephoto prime is designed for mirrorless cameras with full-frame Sony E mount, however, it can also be used with the APS-C models, where it provides a focal length equivalent to 202.5 mm.
The maximum aperture of f / 2.8 bright is suited to work in difficult lighting conditions and also offers greater control over depth of field to work with selective focusing techniques.
The Sonnar optical concept adapts to the combination of a large maximum aperture and a long focal length, and also contributes to a remarkable sharpness, a well controlled flash and high contrast.
The apochromatic optical design uses eight anomalous partial dispersion elements to virtually eliminate color fringes and chromatic aberrations for greater clarity and color fidelity.
