LUMIX design philosophy: shaping emotions
The new all-black design of the LUMIX S5IIX has been created to help the creator immerse themselves in capturing the subject without thinking about the tools they are using. It is designed to blend in with the shooting environment and to avoid reflections in the iris or the recording medium, which encourages artistic creativity.

A greater degree of visual expression
The LUMIX S5IIX supports recording and playback with an external SSD via USB. Additionally, the recording function with the ProRes 422 HQ codec (up to 1.9 Gbps) and in ALL-Intra 4:2:2 10-bit format directly to SSDs, which combines portability with high capacity, has improved the efficiency of data backup and post-processing.

Live streaming anywhere and everywhere
Select your favorite streaming method to share your latest news in real time! For outdoor use, you can easily set up wireless streaming (RTMP/RTMPS) with the LUMIX Sync app. For indoor use, highly stable wired streaming (RTP/RTSP) is also available.

AF by hybrid phase detection for aggressive shooting
The most important aspect of autofocus is its reliability. The new hybrid phase detection AF provides speed and precision so you can capture the subject even in the most complex scenes, where multiple subjects are involved, and even in backlit or low-light environments.

Ideal for shooting while walking: active image stabilization technology
The new active image stabilizer allows you to walk and record at the same time. By determining the vibration state of the camera and optimizing the correction ratios, the active image stabilizer can compensate for even significant camera vibrations approximately 200%* more than conventional systems.

Heat management for unlimited recording time
Unlimited recording time with C4K/4K resolution at 60p/50p 4:2:2 10-bit.* With a compact body equivalent to the S5, the new optimized heat dissipation structure of the LUMIX S5IIX allows for extended recording, even when recording at high loads (for example, high-resolution video in 4K and HFR video).
*The camera may stop recording if it is used at an operating temperature below or above the recommended range (0 to 40 degrees). Recording stops when the continuous recording time exceeds 30 minutes in [6K/29,97p], , [6K/25,00p], , [5,9K/29,97p] and [5,9K/25,00p] with the thermal management mode set to Standard.

The new processor offers more realistic colors, more precise resolution, and a natural three-dimensional effect, which, in combination with dual native ISO technology, effectively eliminates noise, even when shooting at ultra-high sensitivities, beautifully reproducing even dark areas.

Photographs and videos to which a LUT has been applied in-camera can be recorded internally without any special software. Even if you don't have specialized editing skills, the camera helps you expand your range of expression as much as you want.
