This filter of 100 x 150 mm Red Soft Edge Neutral Density of soft diamond red 1.2 of Haidaes compatible with a Haida filter holder 100 or 100-Pro. It helps darken specific areas of an image, such as bright skies, while allowing normal exposure, unaffected in the other regions of the image. The filter is denser at the edge and lightened in the middle, with a transition line of smooth edges between the dense and clear areas. A neutral density filter with a smooth edge transition line can filter the sky minimizing its effect on the ground. It is particularly useful when the transition between the sky and the foreground is indeterminate, such as images with fog, fog or the tops of trees. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and this filter provides a reduction of up to 4 stops in the light entering the lens.
Haida Red Diamond filters are made of impact-resistant optical glass. To avoid the internal phantom effect and reflections, while improving clarity and color fidelity, each glass surface includes 10 layers of nano antireflective coatings. Another 10 scratch-resistant hydrophobic coatings further protect the Haida Red Diamond filter substrate and produce an improved beading effect when its surfaces come in contact with water or oil, allowing for more efficient cleaning. In addition, Haida Red Diamond filters have rounded edges for easy placement within a compatible filter holder slot.
It includes a metal box for storage and transport, as well as a light blocking board. This seal forms a seal intended to prevent stray light, which could have undesirable effects on exposure, between the filter and the lens behind it.
