The Shinobi II features a design that is 30% thinner and a screen that is 50% brighter, all while maintaining Atomos's renowned HDR screen processing technology and professional monitoring tools. With over a decade of experience in developing cutting-edge monitoring and recording technology, Atomos has completely redesigned the Shinobi II with a new slim casing, ensuring a more advanced and user-friendly experience.

Perfect for video and photography
The Shinobi II can operate all day on a single battery and comes equipped with a range of professional monitoring features. You can set up your shots precisely with advanced histograms, waveforms, and vectorscopes, while the multi-tool analysis view provides all essential information at a glance. For vloggers, there's even a mirror mode for selfies. The Shinobi II is the ideal accessory to enhance any photo or video production.

Camera control
In response to user feedback from the original Shinobi, camera control is now available with the addition of a USB-C connection. You can adjust the white balance, lens aperture, shutter speed/angle, and ISO using specially designed on-screen sliders. A red border on the screen indicates when the camera is recording internally, whether activated by the camera or through the Shinobi II. At launch, the Shinobi II will support camera control for most Canon, Panasonic, and Sony mirrorless cameras via USB-C, as well as all models of the Z CAM E2 series (with a LANC cable, sold separately). Future firmware updates will add support for cameras from Fujifilm, Nikon, OM System, and more. SIGMA.

Cable lock
Atomos has created a durable locking system to ensure a secure grip on connected HDMI and USB-C cables, and the Shinobi II comes with a special mount to support this feature. When used with Atomos locking cables (sold separately), it offers the most robust capture cable system available today. The Shinobi II is also fully compatible with standard non-locking cables.

Main Features
The Shinobi II features a sharp high-brightness display of 1500 nits for clear visibility, even in bright environments, and can operate all day on a single battery. It supports 4K monitoring of HDMI signals up to 4Kp30 and offers an analysis mode for simultaneous monitoring with waveform, histogram, and vectorscope tools. The device includes built-in LUT capabilities, allowing you to preview your look and store up to 8 LUTs, and provides frame guides for safe shot framing, whether for social media or cinematic productions. It can control Canon, Panasonic, and Sony cameras via USB-C, and Z CAM cameras via LANC, with more camera compatibility in future firmware updates. Additionally, the Shinobi II can be powered via USB-C PD, with the capability to also power or charge your camera.

The Shinobi II features an impressive 5-inch, 10-bit HDR/SDR display that ensures clear visibility, even in full daylight. Its 1500 nits screen is equipped with a special anti-reflective coating and fingerprint-resistant technology for optimal viewing and durability.

The Shinobi II is designed for portability, and despite adding more hardware features, we have reshaped and redesigned its body to keep the weight at just 210 grams. Light and sleek, the Shinobi II is the perfect companion for your camera.

The Shinobi II operates on our AtomOS platform and is equipped with a comprehensive set of viewfinders and simple one-touch operations. It offers complete monitoring tools for focus, framing, and exposure, such as focus peaking, zoom options (4:1, 2:1, 1:1), zebra, false color, frame guides, SMPTE safe area, grid markers, RGB waveform parade, and vectorscope. The device also features a "multi-view" analysis mode, flexible support for 3D and 1D LUTs with the ability to load .cube files via an SD card, and options for anamorphic de-squeeze monitoring (2x, 1.8x, 1.79x, 1.65x, 1.6x, 1.5x, 1.33x, 1.25x).
