High quality optics
Levenhuk LabZZ M101 Azure Azure Blue Microscope - A children's microscope with quality optics (not inferior to "serious adult" models). The microscope has three objectives: 4x, 10x and 40x. By turning the revolving nosepiece, it is possible to switch between them quickly and easily. The kit includes a sliding eyepiece with two magnifications (10x and 16x), much more practical than two regular eyepieces. This way the child will not need to change eyepieces all the time and there is no risk of them getting lost. The microscope has six different magnifications: 40x, 64x, 100x, 160x, 400x and 640x.
Exploring the microcosm
The microscope is designed to view microscope samples using transmitted light. The sample is placed on the round plate (it can be a thin sheet of onion or any indoor plant). There are two clamps on the stage to hold the specimen securely in the proper position. Light (from the lower illumination) passes through the sample, forming a magnified image of it. Each of the samples requires a different intensity of illumination; that's why the microscope allows you to adjust the brightness.
Comfort and safety
The microscope is made of a lightweight but strong plastic. The eyepiece head is tilted at a 45 degree angle, ensuring a comfortable viewing position and preventing muscle strain during long periods of observation. There is no need for nearby electrical outlets as the lighting is battery powered. This is not only safer, but also much more practical, allowing young biologists to use the microscope outdoors.
