Description

Use the Shimoda Designs large core unit for mirrorless cameras to add modular camera storage to almost any bag or piece of luggage. This small unit can hold a mirrorless DSLR camera or one without a grip, like the Fuji X-T4 and Sony a7 series, but it can also accommodate a Canon 5D or similarly sized body.

What's Inside
  • The interior measures 11.4 x 15.4 x 5.1" and supports a mirrorless DSLR camera or one without a grip up to 4.7" (12 cm) tall with lenses up to 70-200 mm f/2.8.
  • Supports cameras like the Fuji X-T4 and Sony a7 series, but can accommodate a Canon 5D or similar.
  • Laminated dividers with EVA foam protect the gear and prevent it from being bumped.
  • The interior is a bright but subtle blue color, making it quick and easy to locate items inside the unit.
How It's Made
  • The multi-purpose, lightweight, and water-resistant shell wraps the foam and frame to keep dust and water out, or it can be removed and used as a packing cell: fill it with clothes or other items and pack it in your backpack or luggage.
  • The aluminum frame adds extra rigidity and support.
  • The side walls laminated with EVA foam offer protection without excessive weight or bulk, making them fit more easily in bags and minimizing the space they take up.
How to Use
  • Use it inside larger packs and luggage to store and protect your photography gear while offering quick access with compatible bags.
  • The shallower depth of the core unit allows for more efficient packing scenarios and results in a lower profile in your backpack.
  • Easily integrates with the Action X30 and Explore V2 30 backpacks; also fits in all available Shimoda backpacks and rollers, except for Explore V2 25.
  • Modular stacking allows it to be placed on top or underneath additional optional core units to increase the gear carrying volume of a pack.
