The Benro FH100M2 Master 100mm filter support kit allows for the convenient use of up to three 100mm wide, 2mm thick filters, available separately, and an 82mm Benro MACPL82 Circular Polarizer filter. This kit includes a Benro FH100M2 Master 100mm filter holder, as well as a Benro 100x100mm filter protection frame and a Benro 100x150mm filter protection frame. These two Benro filter protection frames are designed to frame the edges of a 100x100mm, 2mm thick filter and a 100x150mm, 2mm thick filter, respectively, for use within the filter holder. By attaching to the sides of an installed filter, these filter protection frames help eliminate stray light, which could have undesirable effects on exposure, from entering between an installed filter, as well as the filter holder and the lens behind it. Additionally, the Benro filter protection frame reinforces the rigidity of the installed filter while preventing its sides from making direct contact with the filter holder's slots. This protects those side surfaces and promotes sharp results by helping to ensure that the filter remains flat.

The Benro FH100M2 Master 100mm filter holder includes up to three slots for a Benro filter protection frame. Any Benro filter protection frame within this filter holder can be swapped with another Benro filter protection frame containing a different filter needed for other subjects or changing lighting conditions. When used with any of the slots of the Benro FH100M2 Master 100mm filter holder, an integrated safety catch system prevents the Benro filter protection frame from accidentally sliding out of the filter holder.

Additionally, the Benro FH100M2 Master 100mm filter holder utilizes an internal gear designed to engage with the integrated pins along the outer edges of a Benro 100x150mm filter protection frame. A control knob allows the gear to be rotated, precisely adjusting the position of a Benro 100x150mm filter protection frame, further benefiting the use of graduated neutral density or other filters that are enhanced by varied positioning. The control knob can be pushed or pulled variably, providing the ability to alternate between any or none of the three Benro FH100M2 Master 100mm filter slots.

The installation of a compatible filter within a Benro filter protection frame is achieved by first moving the top sliding lock of the filter protection frame to the open position. The edge of the filter protection frame below the top sliding lock can be opened, allowing a compatible filter to be placed within the filter protection frame. The edge of the filter protection frame below the sliding lock can be released, and the top sliding lock is returned to its closed position, securing the filter.

The use of the filter holder can be easily achieved by first screwing the Benro FH100M2LR77 77mm adapter ring or the FH100M2LR82 82mm adapter ring onto a lens or step-up ring with 77mm or 82mm front filter threads, respectively. Once installed on the adapter ring, the Benro FH100M2 Master 100mm filter holder's locking knob helps provide a reliable yet adjustable connection that allows the holder to rotate 360°, also benefiting the use of graduated neutral density and other filters that are enhanced by varied positioning.

The Benro FH100M2 Master 100mm filter holder can also accommodate a Benro MACPL82 82mm Circular Polarizer Filter, which is available separately. When installed, the polarizer filter is mounted within an integrated and geared filter ring, and it is positioned between the filter holder and any Benro filter frame in use. Two external thumb dials along the back of the filter holder allow for independent rotation of the Circular Polarizer filter to adjust the intensity of the polarization effect.
