This Laowa Nanomorph 35mm T2.4 1.5x S35 anamorphic lens from Venus Optics is a slim and compact anamorphic lens that captures high-definition video with 1.5x anamorphic compression on cameras with S35 sensors. It features a 35 mm focal length, a FUJIFILM X lens mount, an aperture range of T2.4 to T22 for deep depth of field, and 13 iris blades for reduced depth of field and smooth bokeh.

The fixed lens has a very short minimum focus distance of 23.6" and offers anamorphic qualities such as high contrast, amber lens flares, and a horizontal field of view of 57.5°. Other features include measurement markings in feet and meters, 0.8 MOD cine gears on the focus and aperture rings, and a 55 mm front filter thread. The FUJIFILM X lens mount is interchangeable and can be swapped for an optional mount.

Constant 1.5x Compression Ratio
A 1.5x compression ratio is a perfect balance between size and anamorphic intensity. With a 1.5x compression ratio, you will have a 2.66:1 compression ratio on a 16:9 sensor after decompression. There is also room to crop to a 2.4:1 widescreen ratio.

Artistic Oval Bokeh
A 1.5x compression ratio also offers oval bokeh that adds an artistic touch to the image. It also creates a creamy, blurred background that highlights the subject.

Amber Anamorphic Flare Color
Amber flares are great for narrative and warm vibes and are less common among cinema lenses.

Short Focus Distance
The close focus distance of 23.6" is short so users can create closer shots. It offers a shallower depth of field, so the compression feel will be stronger and the bokeh will have a more oval shape.

Unified Gear Position
The unified gear position allows users to change lenses quickly without needing to readjust the focus gear.

55 mm Filter Thread
A 55 mm filter can be connected directly to the lens for a variety of practical setups. The small diameter is favorable when performing run-and-gun shots or using with an aerial drone.
