Open Mode

The MG80 supports the "OPEN" mode, a pairing adjustment feature. The OPEN mode allows multiple control units to share the same set of flashes. This eliminates the pairing of the control unit and the flash group when using multiple cameras. You can also use the same flash settings when changing cameras and continue shooting.

Independent control of 8 flash groups in slave mode.

The MG80 supports 8 flash groups in slave and master modes. 4 basic groups (A, B, C, D) and 4 advanced (,,,,,,)). The MG80 can be combined with virtually infinite "slave" units. Basic and advanced groups can be used simultaneously for different flashes.

Usable NAS control units

The MG80 can be controlled by the Air 10s and Air 1 control units. 2.4 GHz NAS radio mode Master and Slave.

Supports HSS flash synchronization with fast shutter speeds

The flash supports shutter speeds up to 1/8000 sec.

TTL flash exposure compensation

The flash power can be adjusted with TTL flash exposure compensation. The camera's exposure compensation function affects the overall exposure of the image field. The flash compensation adjusts the exposure only for the main subject, with minimal impact on background exposure. The flash output can be corrected from -2 to +2 EV in 1/3 EV steps in TTL mode.

The Nissin MG80 is compatible with the Nissin PS 8 Power Pack and also uses lithium-ion batteries.

The MG80 operates on 4 AA batteries that can be used in different types. You can connect an external PS8 to the flash. When using four lithium-ion batteries (14,500) and an external PS8 power supply, the charging time is only 1.4 seconds. When using lithium-ion alone, alkaline, or rechargeable batteries, the charging time increases by approximately 4 seconds.
