Adapter Rings with Filter Sizes from 49 to 82 mm.

The Nissin MF18 ring flash can be used with lenses that have a filter size from 49 to 82 mm. Adapter rings are supplied as standard for filter sizes 52, 58, 62, 67, 72, and 77 mm. If you use a (macro) lens with a filter size of 49 mm or 82 mm, you can purchase an optionally available ring. This is beneficial for those who regularly work with a professional 24-70 mm f/2.8 or 85 mm f/1.4 lens for studio portraits, for example, but also if they want to use a 70-200 mm f/2.8 zoom telephoto lens with the MF18, as almost all have a very large diameter. Anyone who regularly works with older Olympus OM lenses, for example on a PEN camera, will certainly appreciate the 49 mm ring.

Unique Fine Macro Mode

The Nissin MF18 is equipped with Nissin's revolutionary "Fine Macro" technology, allowing you to control the flash power extremely precisely and stably from 1/128 to 1/1024 in increments of 1/6 stop. This enables you to achieve the lighting precision of a microscope! In manual mode, the power is adjustable from 1/1 to 1/64 in 1/3 stops. The flash tube is also designed in such a way that it always emits a uniform amount of flash light. If desired, the flash light can be adjusted according to the ambient light. An integrated LED focus light makes it easy to perfectly focus on the subject.
