The GT1542 Series 1 in Carbon Fiber is a lightweight 4-section tripod that can carry a DSLR with a 135mm (up to 200mm). This professional tripod features higher rigidity Carbon eXact tubes and higher leg diameters (25.3mm upper leg diameter).
The Gitzo GT1542 can support a load of up to 10 kg, with a weight of only 1.28 kg. Its maximum height is 159 cm and its folded size is 62 cm. The quick center column is easily removable, transforming it into a ground level tripod allowing a very wide range of perspectives to be captured. The 4 leg sections of the GT1542 tripod are secured with a G-lock Ultra twist lock mechanism with O-rings inside that keep dust and dirt out of the mechanism. The top of the tripod is completely new, redesigned to offer greater rigidity and the angle selectors on the legs provide a wider grip area for a better fit. The tripod has a stabilizing hook at the bottom of the column to add weight and increase stability when the terrain or the weight of the equipment requires it. A wide range of ball joints and other accessories can be added thanks to the 1/4 '' and 3/8 '' thread located on the top of it.

The GH1382QD is a balanced and versatile tripod head with fluid and precision movements. It has a secure lock. The shoe is Arca-Swiss compatible model (GS5370SD) although the ball joint accepts many other D-shaped shoes as well as accepts virtually all Arca-Swiss shoes from other brands.
