Nikon COOLPIX P1000 4K UHD Digital Camera

Shoot at amazing distances with the COOLPIX P1000 digital camera with Nikon's 125x optical zoom This camera, which has a 16 megapixel backlit CMOS sensor, features a built-in NIKKOR lens with an equivalent 35mm focal length range of 24-3000mm. you can zoom in even more with the 250x fine dynamic digital zoom, which will give you an equivalent focal length of 6000mm. along with these extreme focal lengths is Nikon's dual-sensing optical vibration reduction, which provides 5000mm of dual-sensing optical vibration.

Adorning the back of the camera is a 3.2" vari-angle viewfinder, 921k-dot LCD and a 2.36m dot electronic viewfinder, so your subjects are always easy to see. The camera is also capable of recording 4K UHD video at 30 or 25 fps and supports an external microphone through a 3.5mm connector.

Camera movement can be a concern when shooting at extreme focal lengths on a tripod, or you may need to operate the P1000 remotely. The optional ML-L7 remote control meets these needs with wireless operation of the camera's zoom, shutter and other settings. Once you're done with a session, immediately access your photos on a paired smartphone via the camera's Nikon SnapBridge application and built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

16MP BSI CMOS image sensor

The back-lit sensor with 16 million effective pixels can generate detailed images at sensitivities between ISO 100 and 6400. You can also create 4K UHD movies at 30 or 25 fps.

125x optical zoom with dual optical vibration reduction detection

An absurd focal range of 24-3000 mm (equivalent to 35 mm) means that few, if any, objects are out of reach of your lens. Zoom is further enhanced with the fine dynamic digital zoom, which makes the maximum focal length ridiculous 6000 mm. Dual Detect Optical Vibration Reduction provides 5 stops of optical image stabilization to make your handheld shots sharp.

Double vision systems

The P1000 features a bright 3.2" vari-angle LCD screen that makes composing and reviewing images and movies very easy. Also available is the 0.39" OLED electronic viewfinder, 2.36 million points for a more traditional shooting style.

Control ring and Snapback button

A control ring on the front of the device can be used for a variety of functions, such as adjusting focus, exposure, white balance and ISO, all from the lens body. Also on the barrel is a zoom button and a dedicated Snapback button that will make your P1000 move quickly away in case you lose sight of your subject at long focal lengths. When you release the button, the focal length will return to its previous position.

Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth

Nikon's SnapBridge technology lets you seamlessly share photos directly from your camera to a paired phone device.

Shooting Modes

The P1000 features a host of shooting modes that adjust settings for different scenarios such as sunsets, fireworks and portraits. The popular Moon Mode is ideal for shooting Earth's closest neighbor and the new Bird Mode optimizes the camera to capture often bright and colorful creatures.

Optional ML-L7 remote control

The ML-L7 remote control (not included) can wirelessly adjust a variety of settings, such as ISO, zoom and aperture, as well as shoot the P1000 shutter. This allows you to maintain precise composition while shooting from a tripod.

Battery life

The EN-EL20a battery has a capacity of 250 shots per charge. Recharging only takes approximately 3 hours.
