The VEO Active 53 backpack is an outdoor and photographic backpack that combines the best of both worlds. The durability and comfort of a mountain backpack, with the finishes and features of a classic photographic backpack.

With a capacity of 45 liters. When used for photographic equipment, the removable camera bag is designed to carry a professional DSLR with grip and 6-7 lenses (up to 400 mm f2.8 or 200-600 mm zoom), but its customizable interior can be configured to protect multiple photography and observation equipment. The top flap of the internal bag is designed to fold and hide inside the backpack, allowing you to have it open for easy rear access to your complete kit. You can also have it closed for greater protection when there's no need to access it on the go, or when you want to leave your camera at home and use it as a daily backpack.

The backpack has multiple pockets and compartments, in addition to the photographic compartment:

Two interior pockets for a 16" laptop and a 10" tablet.
Independent top compartment for personal kit (or more camera kit).
Side pocket for a hydration bag.
Elastic side pocket.
Secure rear compartment for valuables (like a wallet or passport).
Expandable pockets on the shoulder harness.
Expandable waist compartment.
Includes a bag for your accessories, such as cables, batteries, and SD cards.
Includes an independent multifunction bag that can be used to have a spare lens (up to 70-200 mm) at hand.
The two rear straps allow you to place a full-size tripod on the back, providing optimal balance over long distances. Alternatively, you can attach a tripod to the side.

There is also a USB cable that allows you to carry the power bank of your choice in the top compartment and connect it to your device to keep it charged on the go.

If you use it as a daily backpack, simply remove the inner camera bag (which will keep your photographic equipment safe at home) and you’re ready to go. You can use the rear access or the top-to-bottom side access.

As this series is designed to carry larger kits over long distances, extra attention has been paid to ergonomics to offer maximum comfort. This includes a reinforced aluminum frame that increases the protection level of your equipment and reinforces the back of the backpack. It is designed to follow the curve of the upper spine. On the back itself, there is a padded cushion for the waist and shoulder cushions, with a wide airflow system. The shoulder straps are also well padded with an adjustable chest strap, and there is a padded waist belt to distribute the load. The waist belt can be removed or secured around the backpack to prevent it from flapping on shorter trips.

To withstand the rigors of nature, the Veo Active series is made of 840D nylon cordura, highly resistant to weather and tears, with waterproof zippers, herringbone and double quality seams. For rainier days, the VEO Active includes a rain cover.
