The 338 is placed between the tripod and ball-joint, used in conjunction with tripods that do not have leveling mechanisms. its three adjustment spheres allow you to
work more precisely, adjust +/- 5 degrees to ensure perfect leveling of the camera. the spheres have locking
washers to ensure stability, once placed in the correct position. it comes with a level bubble for your reference. the base has a 3/8" tripod adjustment and a male to the 3/8" ball-joint.
