VANGUARD BASE PANORAMIC VEO QS-360

The VEO QS-360 panoramic base is Arca compatible and can be attached to any Arca-compatible tripod head to make it dual-axis, or to any head that uses a compatible shoe. It can also be directly attached to any tripod or monopod to connect any accessory with a 1/4" or 3/8" thread.

Weighing only 240g and with compact dimensions of 105 x 55 x 40mm, it is easy to store in your equipment bag for maximum versatility when you need it most. Moreover, it can support up to 10 kg, making it capable of bearing almost any combination of equipment.

Mechanically, the VEO QS-360 consists of three parts:

At the top is the Arca-compatible quick shoe QS-62 v3, which includes two removable safety pins and an option of a D-ring, hex key, or screwdriver/coin to secure the 1/4" thread to the base of your camera (or accessory).

In the center is the base that provides panoramic movement. It includes a knob for quick release and another knob to lock the panning. Both are designed to be easy to grip in cold and wet weather, or with gloves. If the panning lock knob gets too close to the camera base, simply pull it out and turn it to a more comfortable position.

At the base, there is another Arca-compatible quick shoe QS-76, which also has the option of a D-ring, hex key, or screwdriver/coin to secure the 1/4" thread to the base (or any other accessory). It also includes a safety pin to ensure the VEO QS-360 base does not slip when used, especially in vertical mode.

This winning combination offers a multitude of uses. You are no longer forced to choose between the 3-way panoramic head Arca compatible depending on whether you need it for a long lens or an L-bracket. Just attach the VEO QS-360 base and you can use either with ease.

If you attach it to the top of a traditional Arca-compatible head, you can set up the tripod on any terrain without touching the legs to find the level. Simply extend the legs and use the VEO QS-360 base for perfectly leveled panoramas, or reframe the composition without losing the level.

The VEO QS-360 base also allows you to upgrade your favorite head to be Arca compatible, simply by swapping the shoe of your tripod with the quick-release shoe included in the VEO QS-360 base. Please note that we only recommend this for quick-release shoes that have a safety pin to ensure the VEO QS-360 remains properly aligned, especially when used in vertical or portrait mode.

The VEO QS-360 also comes with a 3/8" thread and a 1/4" adapter that allows you to attach it directly to any tripod or monopod. For example, it can be used to attach any camera or any accessory with a 1/4" thread at the base. It can even be attached to non-photographic products, such as laser levels and speakers, to offer an additional degree of versatility.
