Extra large umbrellas are popular with portrait, personal and fashion photographers. They create a soft but characteristic light that allows the user to illuminate an entire person or even small groups with a single light source.
The deeper shape gives the photographer better control over the extent of light, and allows the light to be focused and shaped by simply sliding the umbrella shaft onto its support. In addition, the strong fiberglass rods make the Umbrella Deep remarkably reliable and robust. It is available in three versions: Silver, White and Translucent.
The silver versions provide a light that combines soft shadows with bright highlights. This combination of soft and hard light is ideal for subtly highlighting the structure in the materials, among other things.
