The Smooth-5 Smartphone Stabilizer from Zhiyun-Tech has been updated and designed for a more compact and intuitive experience to provide cinematic-style functions for content creators using their mobile phones for video capture. When used with the free downloadable ZY Play app, the control panel allows Android and iOS users to control gimbal and smartphone camera functions, such as focus, zoom, time-lapse, and photo settings.

The redesigned Smooth-5 controls are easier to use than ever, reducing the need to touch your phone screen and minimizing accidental bumps during recording. The Smooth-5 is compatible with almost any mobile phone; it features durable magnetic steel motors, improved battery life, and an extended 3-axis range, and its lightweight and compact design aids in mobility on the go. Its easy-to-control interface allows you to perform a variety of shots with effects, such as dolly zoom, inverted shot, time-lapse, and slow motion. A mini tripod is included for using the gimbal on a flat surface for stable shots or when not in use. A USB Type-C charging cable is included to use the PD fast charge function for a rapid two-hour charge, and it can also be charged while shooting with a separately available power bank.

Updated Design

Shrunken by 40% compared to its predecessor, the 3-axis gimbal is an ultra-mobile plug-and-play gimbal. With free movements from high to low angles, its 3-axis range has been updated to support unlimited 360° pan, 349° tilt, and 300° roll. The rear-mounted motor design allows you to shoot wide-angle videos without worrying about any blockage when using ultra-wide angles on your phone.

Dolly Zoom Tricks

Achieve Dolly Zoom and Shot Reverse Shot by switching between zoom and focus with a single press. Focus and focal distance control is easy when using the control wheel. You can also achieve Dolly Zoom through the ZY Cami app.

Smart Tracking

With a single button press, you can activate SmartFollow and start centering your moving object. You can also use a gesture to control camera shooting/photo-taking and enable remote face tracking.

Rapid Power

Backed by a 2600 mAh battery, the Smooth-5 can operate for up to 12 hours, and the charging time is at least two hours with an optional 15W charger. The Smooth-5 can also be charged with a portable power bank. The gimbal can charge your phone via the USB Type-C port on the tilt axis.

Optional Magnetic Fill Light

Attach the optional magnetic fill light for full 360° lighting on both sides of the new phone clamp for outstanding illumination supported by the adjustable color temperature of 5300 to 5700K. You can also change colors using light filters.
