DJI Ronin-S essential kit

While the standard DJI Ronin-S comes with a focus wheel, control cables, power adapter and other accessories, the Essentials kit includes the cardan and the key accessories needed to get out and start firing. There is a difference of just several accessories, accompanied by a substantially more affordable cost, and you can always add a focus wheel or other accessory at a later time.
Ronin-S represents a scalable ecosystem for integrating DSLR and mirrorless cameras into professional-level workflows. The one-handed form factor of the Ronin-S supports up to 8 pounds and works up to 12 hours with a single charge of the included battery grip. In addition, there are separate modules available that are sold separately for the handles and accessories, allowing you to customize the gimbal according to the way you want to operate it.
Between the front trigger, the rear mode button and the joystick, precise gimbal control allows you to get the shots you need. The front trigger can block the cardan when it is held down, re-center the cardan when it is touched twice and activate the Selfie mode by turning 180 ° when it is touched three times. Press the mode button to activate three customizable operation profiles, each with adjustable speed and response for different shooting scenarios. If fast-moving subjects are your forte, Sport mode provides extra-fast response times and fast cardan movements, up to a top speed of 45 mph. With this flexibility of operation, the Ronin-S will fit into the workflows of documentaries, events and films.

The cardan and all the included accessories can be stored inside the included case, which helps protect your equipment during storage and transport.

Use the Ronin-S to capture panoramic photos using precise gimbal movements.
Time-lapse and Motion-Lapse
Using the DJI Ronin app for Android and iOS, you can control your camera to take photos at specific intervals that, when combined and sequenced in the publication, can produce time-lapse creative movies. You can also preset a path for the gimbal to follow during interval photography within the application as well. Cardan movement adds dynamic movement to your final product without using postproduction tools that can lower resolution.
Tracking

With the Track function, you can program a repetitive cardan movement. Having this functionality is ideal for when you need to block scenes accurately and requires that you perform complex camera movements without the intervention of the active operator.
General characteristics
Offset roller motor
By compensating the roller motor, Ronin-S keeps the camera above the roller axis, leaving the LCD screen of the camera unlocked. This design also minimizes the movement of the camera that occurs when moving from vertical to lower modes and vice versa.
Smooth Track
Customize Ronin-S's response to suit your shooting style. Two types of responses can be saved and retrieved instantly with a single click on the mode button. Move from a smooth movement of the camera to a quick response with the simple actuation of a switch to be prepared for any type of shooting situation.
Modular design
The Ronin-S was built to be modular. Direct-connect and wireless accessories are supported. For example, DJI control devices available separately, such as Master Wheels and Master Force, improve the ease of use of Ronin-S in professional settings. The S-Bus connection supports third-party controls compatible with that standard protocol.
Versatility
The Ronin-S can be mounted on an RC stroller for low angle shots, or even act as a stabilized remote head when mounted on a boom. The DJI focus command unit can be mounted on the accessory base, allowing the creators to concentrate when operating with the standard handle. You can also attach the Ronin-S to a dual hand bar without compromising gimbal control, focus or camera shutter.
Multitask

Multiple accessory mounts have been assigned to the Ronin-S, which provide full support for add-ons such as a microphone, an LED light or a wireless video transmitter. Compatibility with DJI control devices, such as Master Force, provides intuitive controls. The master wheels can also provide remote operators with accurate gimbal movements.
