SEKONIC STUDIO DELUXE III LIGHT METER L-398A

The classic photo meter whose roots go back to the famous director Norwood, the Sekonic L-398A has become a favorite of cinematographers around the world.

A pure analogical experience, the needle marking system of the meter and exposure gives you all the combinations of reading at a single glance. And because it uses an amorphous photoelectric cell that generates its own energy, there is no need for a battery. Incident measurements can be taken with more than 180 degrees Lumiesfera for general readings of three-dimensional objects, or with Lumidisc selective area readings, measuring the proportions of illumination between lights and areas of shadow or light falling on flat field objects, such as works of art, measurements to the field.

The Sekonic L-398A swivel head allows you to hold down the dosing button and "walk the set" to check light levels. Release the button, and the needle locks down the meter's analog display needle for exposure calculations and easy to read.

Exposures are shown for both fixed and cinema applications. For reflected readings, a lumigrid floor replaces the Lumiesfera.

If you plan on photographs with a fixed shutter speed and ISO, an optional set of slides (direct reading Slides) makes it easier to take readings in fast-paced recording environments.
